Terms

These are the terms for using Crazy Themes (“we”, “us”), the marketplace at crazy-themes.com where independent authors sell themes and code. They apply whether you are browsing, buying, downloading or selling. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them, and to our Licences, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms.

1. How the marketplace works

Crazy Themes is a platform. Items are created and owned by their authors. When you buy an item you receive a licence from its author to use it; we run the marketplace, review items before they are listed, take payment and deliver the files. Some items are published by Crazy Themes itself, and for those we are also the author.

2. Your account

  • You need an account to buy, download or sell, and you must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date. One person or business per account.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
  • Tell us straight away at support@crazy-themes.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Buying and downloading

  • The price and the licence you are choosing are shown on the item page and again at checkout. Free items go through the same checkout with nothing to pay.
  • An order is complete once payment has been received. The item then appears under Downloads in your account.
  • You may download an item you own, and any later version of it, for as long as it remains listed. Keep your own copy: an author may withdraw an item, and we cannot guarantee it will always be available to download again.
  • Prices may change at any time. A change never affects an order you have already placed.

4. Licences

What you may do with an item is set by the licence you bought. The Licences page sets out the regular and extended licences in full. In short: one licence covers one end product, and you may not resell or redistribute an item itself.

5. Refunds

Items are digital and cannot be returned, so refunds are given only in the situations described in our Refund Policy.

6. Support and updates

Each item page says whether its author offers support. Where support is offered it covers using the item as supplied for six months from purchase; the details are on the Support page. Updates are separate from support: when an author releases a new version, everyone who owns the item can download it.

7. Selling as an author

  • Your work, your rights. You may only submit items you created or hold the rights to sell, including every image, font, script and library inside them. You keep ownership of your items.
  • Review. Every submission is reviewed before it is listed. We may accept it, ask for changes or decline it, and we may remove a listed item that no longer meets our standards or that draws a credible complaint.
  • Accurate listings. Descriptions, screenshots and previews must show the item as buyers will receive it.
  • Safe files. Items must be free of malware, hidden links, undisclosed tracking and code that contacts another server without the buyer knowing.
  • Licence you give us. By submitting an item you allow us to host it, display its previews, promote it and deliver it to buyers under the licences on this site.
  • Earnings. You earn 70% of the price paid for each sale of your item, after any discount and before tax. We keep the remaining 30%. The rate that applies is the one in force when the sale is made.
  • Payouts. Earnings are recorded when an order is completed and are paid out manually by our team. If an order is refunded or cancelled before the earnings have been paid, they are reversed.
  • Looking after buyers. If you say you offer support, provide it. Fix faults that stop the item working as described.

8. Reviews and conduct

  • Only people who have downloaded an item can review it. Reviews must be honest and about the item.
  • Do not post abuse, spam or other people’s personal details, and do not try to manipulate ratings, sales figures or downloads.
  • Do not attempt to get around our download protection, share your downloads with others, or scrape the site.

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, that breaks these rules.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe an item on Crazy Themes copies your work, email support@crazy-themes.com with a description of your work, the address of the item, how it copies your work, and your contact details. We will look into it, and remove the item while we do if the complaint appears well founded. An author whose item is removed may reply with evidence of their rights.

10. Taxes

Any tax that applies to an order is shown at checkout. Authors are responsible for the tax due on their own earnings.

11. What we promise, and what we do not

We review items before listing them, but items are made by their authors and are provided as they are. We do not promise that every item is free of faults, will work with every other product, or suits your particular project. Nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or other indirect losses.

12. Ending your use of the site

You may close your account at any time by writing to support@crazy-themes.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Licences you bought before then continue, unless the licence itself was breached. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as licences, liability and earnings already recorded, do so after an account is closed.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date below shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will say so on the site. Continuing to use Crazy Themes after a change means you accept the new terms.

14. Law and disputes

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@crazy-themes.com; most problems are settled that way. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved between us.
