Our mission
To inspire every student to learn with courage, live with kindness and lead with purpose, in a community that values each person.
For more than three decades, Lumina Ridge has helped young people grow into capable, compassionate adults who make a difference.

Our story
Lumina Ridge began in 1994 with a simple idea from local families: a school where children are known, challenged and happy.
Today we welcome 1,450 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, plus our Early Learning Centre. We are independent, co-educational and non-selective, and we are proud of a culture where high expectations and genuine care go hand in hand.
To inspire every student to learn with courage, live with kindness and lead with purpose, in a community that values each person.
Young Australians who are confident, connected to Country and community, and ready to shape a better future.
Our values
We try new things, speak up for what is right and learn from every mistake.
We look after each other, include everyone and lead with empathy.
We ask big questions, chase ideas and love the process of finding out.
We serve our neighbourhood, care for Country and celebrate together.
From the Principal
Results matter, and our students achieve outstanding ones. But the moments I treasure most are quieter: a Year 2 student reading to a friend, a Year 12 leader mentoring a nervous Year 7, a team picking each other up after a loss.
Lumina Ridge is a place where those moments happen every day. I warmly invite you to visit, meet our people and see the difference for yourself.
Our history
A group of local families opened Lumina Ridge in two weatherboard classrooms on the edge of the bush.
Our first Year 12 cohort sat the HSC, with every student completing their studies.
A 25-metre indoor pool brought learn-to-swim to every Junior School student.
Robotics, a maker lab and design studios opened in a solar-powered building.
A 400-seat theatre, recording studio and gallery space for our creative community.
Funded by our Spring Fair, a bush-inspired play space for our youngest learners.
Leadership
An experienced team of educators who still love being in classrooms.
Acknowledgement of Country
Lumina Ridge College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our campus stands. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and commit to learning from the world’s oldest living cultures, through our curriculum, our grounds and our relationships with local communities.
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child. All staff and volunteers hold a Working with Children Check and complete annual child-protection training.
