Our story
From a warehouse party to Sydney's festival stages.
SONIQ started with two DJs, four borrowed speakers and a warehouse party that the neighbours still talk about.
Word spread fast. Within two years we were running sound for venues across the Inner West; within five we were building festival stages. Today SONIQ Live is a full-service DJ, sound and production company with more than 40 DJs and artists, a dedicated wedding division and a warehouse of touring-grade equipment.
What hasn't changed is the way we work: the same crew that plans your event is the crew that turns up, builds it and runs it on the night.

2014
The warehouse years
Founders Kai and Mia throw their first party in a Marrickville warehouse and start DJing venues across the Inner West.

2016
First festival stage
SONIQ curates and produces its first festival stage — 3,000 people, nine DJs and a sunrise closing set.

Production division launches
We invest in our own line-array, lighting and staging inventory and start delivering full production in-house.

SONIQ Weddings
A dedicated wedding team forms, combining ceremony audio, MC services and reception DJs under one planner.

Neon Tides partnership
We become the official sound and lighting partner for Neon Tides Festival on Cockatoo Island.

Forty-plus artists on the roster, a new Ultimo studio and our biggest summer season yet.

Every system is measured and tuned on site. If it doesn't sound right, the doors don't open.

Playlists are a starting point. Our DJs watch the floor and adapt track by track.
